Orthodontics is a specialized area of dentistry devoted to fixing misalignment in teeth and/or jaws.  This may be done with braces, clear aligners, or other orthodontic appliances which help improve function and beauty.  To begin the orthodontic process, a thorough examination is performed first and a custom orthodontic appliance is fabricated to gently and safely move the teeth and jaws into proper position over the length of treatment. The aims of orthodontics are to improve bite alignment, oral health, and facial smile esthetic while keeping the patient as comfortable as possible. Patients are expected to attend routine appointments with their orthodontist to monitor and evaluate themselves on the progress of their orthodontic treatment, where the orthodontist is also going to monitor and evaluate the progress to ensure the treatment is properly conducted to achieve the attendees with the treatment results.
